You'll find a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at SkyWater Church in Shakopee, MN. Most people dress casually, so wear whatever makes you comfortable. We have a parking lot as well as convenient street parking, and our building includes an accessible entrance. Whether you're coming by yourself, with friends, or with your family, we'd love to meet you.
WORSHIP & COMMUNION
Our Sunday gathering begins with worship through contemporary music as we gather to praise God together. Each week we also celebrate Communion, remembering Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross. If you're a follower of Jesus, you're invited to participate. If you're exploring faith, you're welcome to simply observe.
THE WORD
At SkyWater Church, you'll mostly hear expository preaching, which means we teach through entire books of the Bible, explaining what Scripture says, what it meant in its original context, and how it applies to our lives today. Our desire is for every sermon to help you know God more deeply and grow in your faith as all of Christ is applied to all of life.
SKYWATER KIDS
We love having kids at SkyWater! Children begin the service worshiping alongside the congregation before being dismissed to age-appropriate classes where they'll enjoy engaging Bible lessons, activities, and caring leaders in a safe environment. Our goal is to partner with parents as we help children to know, love, and follow Jesus.
MISSIONAL LIVING
After our Sunday gathering, we create space to slow down and build real community. From 12-1pm, we share in a potluck meal followed by a time of open ministry or discussion, according to the need of the moment.
But that's just the beginning of our week. We believe following Jesus is a way of life, so we encourage one another to live on His mission every day. Through morning prayer, Bible reading, gender-specific groups, classes, and serving our neighbors, we're learning together what it means to faithfully follow Christ wherever He has placed us.
