On the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of the month, we gather together for the purpose of prayer, Communion, and cultivation.
In the New Testament, Communion was not a short ritual, but a shared meal. We attempt to replicate something similar at SkyWater. In this setting, we commune with God as well as with one another. Unless you are a visitor, we ask every family to bring a dish to share.
After our meal, we begin a time of open ministry. All present are welcome to share as the Holy Spirit leads. This is an opportunity, not an obligation. We model this empowering and life-giving practice off of 1 Corinthians 14:26, "What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up."
